Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi - Guwahati

Flight from Delhi to Guwahati. Visit the temples of Guwahati.

Day 2: Guwahati - Thembang

Drive from Guwahati towards the village of Thembang.

Day 3: Thembang

Reach Thembang and prepare for the trek.

Day 4: Trek Day 1

Trek from Thembang following the historic Bailey Trail route.

Day 5: Trek Day 2

Trek through mixed subtropical forest of pine, oak and rhododendron.

Day 6: Trek Day 3

Trek through coniferous forest and high Himalayan pastures.

Day 7: Trek Day 4

Trek towards the Tse La approach, crossing glacial rivers and alpine lakes.

Day 8: Trek Day 5

Trek to the high camp below Tse La.

Day 9: Trek Day 6 - Tse La

Cross Tse La (4,550 m), the highest point of the trek.

Day 10: Trek Day 7

Descend along the general alignment of the Sela Ridge.

Day 11: Trek Day 8

Trek through interlocking valleys connected by several passes.

Day 12: Trek Day 9

Continue towards the highway at Sela Pass.

Day 13: Jang - Tawang

Reach Jang and drive to Tawang.

Day 14: Tawang

Visit Tawang Monastery, the second largest Buddhist monastery in the world.

Day 15: Tawang - Kudung

Drive from Tawang to Kudung.

Day 16: Kudung - Thongleng

Trek from Kudung to Thongleng via Thangafay.

Day 17: Thongleng - Tawang

Trek to Thongleng and drive back to Tawang.

Day 18: Tawang

Day at leisure to explore Tawang and the surrounding sights.

Day 19: Tawang - Dirang

Drive back over Sela Pass to the Dirang valley.

Day 20: Dirang - Bomdila

Drive towards Guwahati with stops in Dirang and Bomdila.

Day 21: Guwahati - Delhi

Flight from Guwahati. Tour ends.
