Tawang Tour and Travel · Tawang
Terms & Conditions
These terms apply when you inquire about, book, or travel on a Tawang Tour and Travel package in Arunachal Pradesh and North-East India.
Last updated: October 23, 2026
1. Who these terms cover
Tawang Tour and Travel (“we”, “us”) is a Government registered tour operator and travel agent based in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, India. These terms apply to every guest named on a booking, including family members and group members whose travel we arrange.
By paying a booking amount or confirming a package in writing (email, WhatsApp, or the website inquiry form), you accept these terms on behalf of all travellers in your party.
2. Bookings
A request on the website is an inquiry, not a confirmed seat. A booking is confirmed only after we share a written itinerary and you pay the booking amount stated on that itinerary. Package prices, hotel names and vehicle types can change until that confirmation is issued, especially around the Tawang Festival (May) and the Torgya and Losar festivals (January–March).
Please check names, travel dates, pickup point (Guwahati, Tezpur, Dibrugarh, or Tawang), and rooming before you pay. Corrections after permits or hotel allotments are issued may attract supplier fees.
3. Payments
Unless your invoice says otherwise, we collect a booking amount to hold vehicles and rooms, with the balance due before arrival in Tawang or before the first hotel night. Bank transfers, UPI and other methods we list on the invoice are accepted. Cash payments at the Tawang office should be collected against a written receipt.
Inner Line Permit (ILP), Protected Area Permit (PAP) and Bumla Pass applications, along with festival-season hotel rooms, are often paid onward to third parties. Those lines may be marked non-refundable on your invoice.
4. Documents, permits and fitness
Every traveller must carry a valid government photo ID (Aadhaar, passport, or driving licence) and passport photographs for permits. Domestic tourists need an Inner Line Permit, foreign tourists need a Protected Area Permit, and Bumla Pass visits need an additional defence permit. We help file permit paperwork, but approval sits with the local administration and can be delayed or refused.
Itineraries in Tawang and the wider North-East India include long road days, cold nights and altitude. Guests with heart, lung or mobility conditions should take medical advice before booking. We do not provide medical care on the road; you travel at your own health risk and should carry personal medication and insurance.
5. Vehicles, hotels and inclusions
Where a package says “own fleet”, we operate those vehicles ourselves. Other nights may use contracted hotels of a similar category if our property is full. Meal plans, sightseeing and cab running (point-to-point or local) follow the inclusions on your confirmed itinerary. Items not listed — such as pony rides, adventure activities, monument fees or extra heating — are extra unless stated.
6. Weather, landslides and itinerary changes
Arunachal Pradesh and North-East India roads close for snow, landslides, rainfall and administrative orders. We may change the daily plan, hotel or vehicle to keep the group safe. A changed route is not a failed tour if we still provide transport and lodging of a comparable standard. Extra hotel nights or longer cab running caused by roadblocks are charged as they arise, unless we caused the delay.
7. Guest conduct
Seatbelts, driver rest hours and local rules apply. Offensive behaviour toward staff, other guests or residents, or damage to vehicles and rooms, can end the remaining services without refund. Adventure add-ons (river rafting, paragliding, snow activities) are run by licensed local operators; their safety briefings and waivers apply.
8. Liability
We take care in planning and in running our own vehicles and stays. We are not liable for losses caused by weather, political disruption, third-party airlines or shared transport, or a guest’s failure to carry documents. Our liability, where it exists, is limited to the package amount you paid us for the unused portion of the trip.
9. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations, date changes and refunds follow our Refund and Cancellation Policy. Please read that page before you pay.
10. Privacy and communication
We contact you on the phone, WhatsApp and email you share. How we store inquiry details is described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Arunachal Pradesh have jurisdiction, without limiting any consumer rights you may have under applicable Indian law.
12. Contact
Questions about a booking should go to the Tawang office through the channels on our Contact Us page. Write to us before departure if any part of the itinerary is unclear.
