Ladakh is situated towards the eastern parts of Jammu and Kashmir. It lies on the crossroads of the historic ‘Silk Route’ from Sinkiang to West Asia and to the plains of India. There are a number of interesting places and monasteries to visit in and around Leh, such as – The Leh Palace, the monasteries of Shey, Hemis, Alchi, Thikse, and Lamayuru. The landscape of Leh also provides for a number of adventure activities such as Mountaineering, White Water Rafting, and Trekking in Ladakh. 

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 01: Delhi – Manali
  • Day 02: Manali-Sarchu
  • Day 03: Sarchu-Leh.
  • Day 04:  Leh; AM: Excursion Spituk & Hall of Fame PM: Excursion to Sanker Gompa & Shanti Stupa Post breakfast we depart for AM Sightseeing tour to Spituk Spituk monastery which was founded by Old Led, in the 11th century AD. In those days the Gompa belonged to the Kadampa School but Gelukpa order was introduced during the region of King Dragspa Bum idle, when Lama Lhawang Lotus restored the monastery & Hall of Fame (war museum).
  • Day 05: Leh;  After breakfast we drive to Phyang, Located 22 Kms from Leh. The monastery is remarkably built on the hilltop, similar to the Likir monastery.
  • Day 06: After breakfast start early morning drive to Moon landscapes Lamayuru, and Rizong back to Leh. Photo Stop to view the mesmerizing Moon landscapes and proceed to Lamayuru.]
  • Day 07: An early start to the day for our visit to Pangong Lake at a distance of 155 kilometers each way. This beautiful turquoise colored is worth its drive and time. It’s value for your effort and money. Half of this beautiful lake is in under the Chinese occupation. The visit to the lake involve crossing of Changlha pass. Back to Leh. Evening at leisure to stroll in the bazaar and overnight at the hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel in Leh.
  • Day 08: Leh; Excursion to Hemis, Shey, Thiksey Today we again proceed for rest of the Indus Valley monastery tour with Mahabodhi Meditation Centre. We start with a visit to Shey the ancient capital of Ladakh. The monastery here has a huge gold-gilded statue of Then we visit Thiksey Gompa an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village. The monastery has a beautiful 30 m high gold-plated statue of Maitreya Buddha, the Buddha of the future. Drive further to visit the famous Hemis Gompa founded in 1630’s by Stag-tsang-ras-pa under the royal patronage of Sengge Namgge Overnight stay at Hotel in Leh.
  • Day 09: Leh – Delhi; In the morning transfer to the airport to board the flight for your onward destination.   

 Package cost- Rs.3500 per day per person ( This cost is for Domestic tourist groups only).

Package Inclusions

  1. Accommodation in twin sharing basis in a double room.
  2. Exclusive  AC vehicle for transfers & sightseeing. Please note that the vehicle will be at your disposal from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Travel beyond that period is extra chargeable and to be paid on the spot.
  3. Breakfast.
  4. All permit fees and hotel taxes including Inner Line Permits as required.

  • Personal Expenses such as Laundry, telephone calls, tips, Liquor, rafting charges, boating, and joy rides.
  • Any other item not specified in “Cost Includes”.
  • Additional sightseeing or usages of vehicles not mentioned in the itinerary.
  • Any cost arising due to natural calamities like landslides, or as a result of roadblocks, strikes, etc. (Extra Costs including hotel charges have to be borne by the tourists directly on the spot).
